How Signal verification works

Signal registers with a phone number but lets you hide it behind a username. Re-registering on a new phone needs the same number again unless a Registration Lock PIN protects it.

How to get a Signal number with Ucode

1. Open Ucode. Use the web app, the iOS or Android app, or the Telegram Mini App, and add credits once. Credits never expire.
2. Choose Signal. Search for Signal so the number is requested for that sender.
3. Pick a country. Choose a country from the table above. The price in credits is shown before you confirm.
4. Enter the number. Paste the number into Signal and request the SMS code.
5. Copy the code. It appears in your private Ucode inbox, usually within 10–60 seconds. No code within about 20 minutes? The credits are refunded automatically.

After you verify

• Set a Signal PIN and turn on Registration Lock.
• Create a username and set “Who can see my number” to Nobody.
• Choose the SMS option at registration; Ucode rentals receive texts, not calls.
